Bank, exchange and credit cards
The national currency in the Netherlands is the Euro (€). Banks are normally open Monday to Friday, 9.00 AM – 5.00 PM and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Exchange offices at airports and main train stations are normally open 6.30 AM – 8.30 PM.
All major credit cards are widely accepted in the Netherlands and ATMs accept most international cards. Please be aware that smaller businesses may not accept credit card payments and you are advised to check prior to purchase.
An ATM machine is available at the RAI complex, entrance C and K.
Business centre
A business centre is available at the RAI Auditorium Complex, entrance G.
Cloakroom
The cloakroom is located in the Forum Foyer and is open during congress hours. Please be sure to collect all personal belongings at the end of the day.
Congress bags
Each delegate can collect a congress bag in the registration area. The congress bag will include the program/abstract book.

The RAI Forum Complex is easily accessible by public transport. If you arrive at Amsterdam Central Station (CS), you can take the Amstelveen express tram 51 (travelling time: 12 minutes, exit at the Amsterdam RAI station) or tram 4 (travelling time: 30 minutes, exit at the RAI Europaplein). If you are travelling by train to the Amstel station, you can take the Amstelveen express tram 51 (travelling time: 5 minutes) or the bus (route 15, 69 or 169), which will bring you to the RAI within 10 minutes. In this case you should get off at RAI Europaplein.
NS-station Amsterdam RAI is 300 meters from the RAI and has regular connections to all parts of the Netherlands, like Schiphol, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and is also linked to the international train network.
The RAI Forum Complex also has extensive parking facilities for those who travel by car.
Electricity
The electricity in the Netherlands runs on 220 volts. Wall outlets take plugs with two male contact pins. A plug adaptor will be required if incompatible electronic devices are used.
Emergency telephone number
In case of an emergency call 112 for police, fire brigade or ambulance service. In case of an emergency inside the congress venue, contact the present security guard immediately.
Insurance
The organizers do not accept responsibility for any personal damage. Participants are strongly recommended to arrange their own personal insurance.
Language
All presentations during the congress will be conducted in English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Mobile phones
Mobile phones must be switched off during all sessions.
Smoking policy
Smoking is prohibited inside the congress centre and the exhibition area.
Transportation pass
All congress delegates will receive a complimentary transportation pass upon pick-up of their congress bag.
