The ERA-EDTA offers Euro 1.000 for travel grants for young nephrologists

The satellite-symposium Pathogenesis and Treatment of Atypical Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome has been elected by the ERA-EDTA as CME Course for 2012.
Procedure for young nephrologists who are interested in applying to receive this grant:

  • Download the application form available at www.ndt-educational.org
  • Fill in and complete the application form
  • Enclose a curriculum vitae
  • Enclose a copy of your ID

The travel grant winners will receive an official notification from the ERA-EDTA Operative Headquarters and, after the course , a bank transfer for the amount due.

The amount the Travel Grant is calculated taking into consideration the distance of his/her actual country of residence from the country where the CME is to be held:

€ 500 - within 1000 (and over) km
€ 350 - within 750 km
€ 250 - within 500 km
€ 100 - within 300 km


Travel grants (independently from the mileage) also include one-year free ERA-EDTA membership (Junior membership). Both the grant, as well as the ERA-EDTA Junior memberships, will be granted after the verification of the young nephrologists’ actual participation in the CME Course.

The ERA-EDTA will also offer 5 additional ERA-EDTA Junior memberships to deserving fellows (35 old and younger) who actively participated in the course.

The Course Organisers will be in charge of deciding who will receive these grants, with the only provision that the winners must not be older than 35 years of age.
